Fishing Report 2013!!!
Fishing for bull trout is GOOD. 2 to 3 Keepers a week have been coming thru Three Rivers Marina, the latest BIG FISH, was around 29 1/2" caught on J-13 Jointed Raplas and some plug cut herring. For Kokanee guys have been catching their limit by long lining Dodgers with Kokanee Katch riggings, tipped with white corn. Bass fishing has picked up lots of Bass in the shallows, a half-pound to pound in size. Use lots of bright color Jigs and of course your Night Crawlers.
Samples of bull trout have been tagged with 2 different types of tags: Some of the fish were tagged with anchor tags and others were tagged with PIT tags. The PIT tag is a small chip measuring ½ inch long that is placed in the fatty tissue along the fish’s back. Anglers should be aware that a chip may be present to avoid accidental ingestion of the chip. The number of the PIT tag can only be read using a special tool. Anglers who catch a tagged fish are encouraged to report the catch to ODFW in Bend
